The Kanban is a simple work of art. It can be a ToDo/Doing/Done or be a process flow to move client tasks through. This could amount to many steps with a variety of status choices, depending on the process. The Kanban has Done Rules (Eric Brechner offers a nice explanation, see link) that give clarity to each status. This where the argument for Status descriptions is valid.
When onboarding an employee or client to a new process, it would be helpful to have a quick glance at the Done Rules for each status. Because Statuses and Field choices will change in a Solution, it is not practical to keep everything in the Solution Guide. Doable? Yes. But I would love to see a pop-up in this dropdown. This improves workflow for users as it would be quick to read a popup modal to show Description and Done Rules.
