Artem Kunytsia Thank you for the background information. In my use case, the task is more of a \"task group\" for our development projects. Inside each task group, there are several subtasks needed for completion.

The number of task groups will vary by project, and the number of subtasks inside a task group will also vary - so I don't have any fixed numbers to work with.

I aim to use a formula to calculate the total number of subtasks in a project (completed and not completed) and the number of completed tasks. This would allow me to see a total status like \"3 of 16 completed\". I could then calculate a percentage of task completion (in this case, 19%) and then set a percent complete field to that value in the project app.

Not being able to do this isn't blocking me, but it would be great to have. I looked into using a sub-item field, but the checklist field really lends itself better to task assignment and completion. It is also nice that the checklist field type displays the completion for that particular task group when I'm looking at the tasks app that is linked to the project app.
