How to delete a web link from a record

Hello,

I'm having trouble automatically deleting a url from a record using an automation. I have tried overwriting it with a blank text field, but get an error in the automations (Action Fail: Invalid input value). I've also tried overwriting it with an empty link field, but this does not remove the link that was already there.

Any other ideas?

I was originally trying to remove the links via updating the record in Ply, so any workarounds for using the API to do this are welcome too.
