Ok I like the idea of the Document Designer on the table level - but I can't for the life of me figure out how to now EXPORT a document at the record level aside from
Going to the document designer selection
Then flipping through the little arrows a million times until I reach the desired record I want to export or searching for the record and exporting it like that
Is this the right way to be doing this?
Ideally, I would have access to exporting these created documents at the record level. Because it adds so much friction to follow this process:
Be working on/in a record
Realize I need to export that record as a designed document
Click out of the record
Go to the document designer at the table level
Search for the record I just x'd out of
Then export it
Heres two places where I'd like to see it ideally!
That or even better - allow me to export as an ACTION so that its available via automations and buttons. In the example use case I could also imagine the document designer as a FIELD TYPE, so that I could always have, on demand, access to invocies, etc relevant to records that can be manually downloaded or accessed and shared via automations!
Example use case:
I realize I want to send an invoice to a client. I already have an automation set up that, when a yes/no field is checked, an automation triggers that sends an email to a client with an invoice. The invoice is created using the document designer
