To me, this is the gold standard for Kanban. I have shared this a couple of times.

The software that creates split columns will be my hero. And again, yes, you can always generate a 2nd column and name it \"Done\", but I am talking about a user interface enhancement. The visual of the split column offers a better visual overview of where the team is. If you have a WIP of 2 in a specific column, and one is In Progress and one is Done (but in the right-hand side of the split column), you now can pull from that column knowing that the work has been checked because of the Done Rule that must be satisfied to put it in the Done Column. Refer to this post to expand on this idea. This offers a Review at each column. Simple. Efficient. Cost saving.

You would not have a default split column (because we clearly do not need them all the time), but to have a option to split a column when necessary. Eric Brechner offers a casual, but effective, approach to Kanban that anyone could understand. I can't say I'm surprised that no SaaS has done it, but the one that does will have some serious marketing to work with.

Kanban is continuous delivery. That alone is marketing gold. Add split columns and Done Rule descriptions at the source column and no other Kanban would touch it. Maybe enforcing WIP limits by NOT allowing someone to add to column if it would exceed the WIP. It's too easy to break the WIP rules in other apps.

I want to hide Fields if the field is not populated. Can I?
