I have an integration set up to have a record created from an email that I move to a specific folder in Outlook. We are trying to create a communication history record to keep track of some of the important emails and communications regarding client projects and link them to the projects.
I have been able to get a majority of the email contents into the fields I want. However, I have not been able to get the date and timestamp from the email. If I add the date field to the Create a Record action, there is no option to use a date from the trigger. You can only add a specific date or choose from the date actions (see pictures).
Am I missing something???
I would love to be able to use the date/timestamp from the email so that I can sort the emails/records by date. Sorting by the Date Created auto-date does not always work for us because we move the emails to the specific folder every couple of days. I have created a date adjustment field and a formula field work-around to get the correct date and have to be very methodical when I move the emails to the folder so that the records being created will be in the correct order (if I move the emails to the folder all at the same time they the records are not always created in the order of the email received and/or sent). Doing this and adjusting the date is taking too much time and defeating the purpose of this automation.
