Hi all.
Looking to brainstorm a workflow for status-dependent automation.
If status changes to X in one app and has Y option selected in another app- then present A checklist in app Z
(Example: If status changes to "production" in the client app and package is "audit"
, set project status in project app to "kickoff"
and checklists for "onboarding" in task app)
I've checked out Dan's and Garth's videos also.
Thanks!
Status dependent checklists

Got it. Seems like you could do it entirely with Automations, but you would need to keep the Checklist templates inside of Automations. Basically, it would result in one Automation for each checklist needed.
In this specific case, I would keep a separate App for the templates and use Make to do the copying, especially for a large set of templates to maintain.
I am partial to Make, but it could likely be done in Zapier as well, I've just never actually tried.
SmartSuite would obviously still trigger the Automation from the Clients App, but then Make would pull the fields from the triggering record, find out which Template to go and retrieve, then apply that to the related record in the Tasks App.
